I walked into the office bathroom to pee and to change into my workout clothes. I made a bathroom newb mistake of not paying attention to my surroundings after I hung up my gym bag and stepped towards the toilet. Then I heard it. A wet footstep. My shoe was resting in a puddle of urine in front of the toilet bowl. It was horrifying and disgusting. What made this worse was I was in my work shoes.. shoes I was going to change out of and store in my gym bag. After a few moments of panic, I wiped the soaked leather sole with an enormously wasteful wad of toilet paper, then wrapped it in another enormous wad of toilet paper and carefully placed it in my bag. When I got home I sprayed the soles with half a can of Lysol. Those shoes will never be the same.
